St John's Seven
At Knaresborough St Johns Primary School, we are dedicated and determined to give every child the best experiences and opportunities possible. We have a well thought out and progressive curriculum as well as excellent teachers and teaching assistants to provide your child with the best academic start to their education. We work closely with parents, our pastoral team and external agencies to support each child with any additional needs to ensure they make the best progress possible, regardless of their academic or emotional starting point. We have a close relationship with St John's Church and Reverend Garry Hinchcliffe to meet the spiritual needs of each child. We do all of this because we care for your children and want them to succeed in life.
However, we want to go further than that. As part of our drive to do more for every child, we have developed the 'St John's Seven'. These are seven opportunities and experiences that your child will be offered during their journey in our school. From starting in EYFS to the time your child leaves at the end of Yr6, we will have offered them the following seven opportunities:
- Visit to the seaside
- Become a trained first aider
- Gain a leadership award
- Perform on a stage
- Be given the opportunity to go away with friends and stay overnight
- Have the chance to learn how to ride a bike safety on a road
- To become an entrepreneur
We want the best for your child and we will always go above and beyond for them!
